strangertimes Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 So I just got admitted into CIR with a full-tuition scholarship. I know Chicago is one of the best schools in the country, and they gave me a very generous full-tuition scholarship, but it's hard to find too much about the school apart from its own website. Most stuff online is about Chicago's PhD program, which is ranked very highly. Does anyone have friends at CIR/has anyone here graduated from CIR? I'd like to talk to someone who has in-depth knowledge of the program. Thank you in advance!
Hanson's Fan Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 NO CIR circle please. But I hope this helps a bit. http://www.fandm.edu/government/graduate-school-information/graduate-programs
strangertimes Posted March 3, 2012 Author Posted March 3, 2012 Sorry - I'm not sure what you mean by "NO CIR circle please."
washdc Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 That link is sorely mistaken on its rankings.. Georgetown is just considered "another great IR school" but not top tier? Ha. Right.. MYRNIST 1
washdc Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 It's ranked 10th: http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2012/01/03/top_ten_international_relations_masters_programs?page=0,0 If you end up going there puhlease take a class with Mearsheimer. So cool.
WhateverHappens Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 it's good but very academic oriented...Mearsheimer didn't offer any class in the past 2 semesters..
strangertimes Posted March 6, 2012 Author Posted March 6, 2012 Thanks for the FP link! Yes, I believe Mearsheimer was off for a year. I also just got accepted into AU's Intl Dev MA Program with a very generous scholarship. So my decision just got tougher.
