DorindaAfterThyrsis Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Yep, I got offered the unfunded MA, too.... Not even remotely considering it, but I do appreciate the opportunity to send my own "Thanks, but no thanks" rejection e-mail. I've received enough of them in the past month that I should be pretty adept at writing my own by now
Shivrk Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Just wondering if there still anyone else waiting for a response from NYU. It seems that their (unfunded) MA offers went out today. I still haven't heard a peep.
Smokydog Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 I am still waiting on any answer. But who knows, my last name letter is "O". Perhaps I will be receiving something these next hours or early tomorrow... I don't like this kind of pressure.
spasticlitotes Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Are you going to be in the English PhD program at OSU? I'm about 99.9% sure I'll be ending up there as well. The library is gorgeous, so at least it won't be the worst prison hell hole to rot away in. Also, Columbus is seriously 20 times bigger than my current town (town is a generous noun, village is more appropriate), and I'm going to try to not be the country bumpkin in the "big city." YES! I'm at the 99.999% sureness level... We should be friends. Are you going to the visit weekend thingy?
vordhosbntwin Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 i don't think any comp lit people have received rejections, or at least not without soliciting them. we'll probably be receiving rejections soon.
DorindaAfterThyrsis Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Should I be directing my letter declining the offer to Lissette Roararbaugh (from whose e-mail address the letter was sent), or Thomas Augst (the DGS who "signed" the e-mail)? I'm assuming the latter, but just wanted to double check on the convention here...
