teacher2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Has anyone got admission news for MA funded program at OISE, CSTD?
teacher2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 All right... 70 views and 0 replies. Are we all waiting?! I am sure someone was accepted already. Come out, the lucky one.
trumey Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 A mass email came from Julia O'Sullivan (Dean of OISE) today: "As Dean of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto (OISE), I am delighted to congratulate you on your offer of admission to Canada’s most prestigious graduate school in education." Did anyone else get this email? I think it's a good sign but I hope something comes by post soon... Good luck everyone.
frantic Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I got that same mass email from the Dean ... I guess its good news but there is nothing in the mail yet! i have no idea what to expect !
trumey Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 (edited) I wonder if this happens every year: mass emails from OISE's Dean before official letters in the mailbox. Anyone been through this before? Edited March 22, 2012 by trumey
trumey Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Package came today; accepted to MA with funding. Best of luck everyone. See you in September!
luria75 Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 I'm applying to the MA CTSD program for the 2013-2014 year...does anyone have any helpful suggestions? I slightly exceed the requirements grade-wise and I do have a great deal of experience. I was in a clinical psychology doctoral program in the States prior to this and I unfortunately had to withdraw from the program due to financial issues (they charge a lot for tuition there!). As a result of my clinical practicum experience, I have worked with children with various learning disorders and have implemented interventions so that they may be more effective learners in the classroom...in addition to this, I have a lot of experience in educational and IQ assessment. So, I can draw several parallels to the CTSD program requirements and my experiences. Oh, and my grades were almost all A's in my grad program. Now that I've given a snapshot of my experience and academic performance...I'd appreciate any suggestions as to what I can do to increase my chances of receiving an offer of admission. Do any previous applicants have any suggestions? Thanks a lot in advance!
