A mass email came from Julia O'Sullivan (Dean of OISE) today: "As Dean of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto (OISE), I am delighted to congratulate you on your offer of admission to Canada’s most prestigious graduate school in education."

Did anyone else get this email? I think it's a good sign but I hope something comes by post soon...

Good luck everyone.

I wonder if this happens every year: mass emails from OISE's Dean before official letters in the mailbox. Anyone been through this before?

I'm applying to the MA CTSD program for the 2013-2014 year...does anyone have any helpful suggestions? I slightly exceed the requirements grade-wise and I do have a great deal of experience. I was in a clinical psychology doctoral program in the States prior to this and I unfortunately had to withdraw from the program due to financial issues (they charge a lot for tuition there!). As a result of my clinical practicum experience, I have worked with children with various learning disorders and have implemented interventions so that they may be more effective learners in the classroom...in addition to this, I have a lot of experience in educational and IQ assessment. So, I can draw several parallels to the CTSD program requirements and my experiences. Oh, and my grades were almost all A's in my grad program.

Now that I've given a snapshot of my experience and academic performance...I'd appreciate any suggestions as to what I can do to increase my chances of receiving an offer of admission. Do any previous applicants have any suggestions?

Thanks a lot in advance!
