Spytgale1 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 I have a quick question about funding that I hope someone can help me out with. If a school tells me that they can't offer me any financial assistance, does this mean that I am ineligible to get a TA position either now or in the future (ie next year)?
anthropologygeek Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 It's means currently they can't. However you could always get an assistantship outside the department or even a semester later through the department
rockhopper Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Hi, this is my first post ever, but I was told the same thing by SUNY Buffalo and I'm guessing it means that the department/school does not currently have money to fund you. Maybe if you go there, in years down the road they will be able to assist you but I'm guessing that if they can't now that money is probably pretty tight in the program and it will be hard to get in the future! Hope this helps
