brandyalexander Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Hi All, I was wondering if anyone knew of programs particularly involved with studying the history and development of the novel. I am especially interested in schools that focus on philosophical and epistemological movements and how they contribute to literary and critical content. It is hard for me to narrow the search down because my interest interacts with the entire history and future of the novel, rather than one particular period. Thanks!
Stately Plump Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I'm not too sure, but I know there are some people at UMass Amherst who are doing a lot with the history of the book (though I don't know about the novel specifically).
Venti White Choc. Mocha Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I think UCR has a great deal of "rise of the novel" PhDs and classes.
brandyalexander Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 Excellent, I will look into those programs--thanks so much!
