cargathus Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I've finally gotten my replies, and I am waitlisted at UCLA and accepted to UC Davis and University of Chicago. I applied to all integrated bioscience programs and I was just curious as to the public opinion of the reputation behind the three of those schools? I am having trouble making a decision because I thoroughly enjoyed all three of the visits and although quite different from one another, have a lot to offer in terms of research and location. Any thoughts or opinions???
Eigen Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 IMO, you want to consider the reputation and publication record of the PI you want to work for as much or more than the reputation of the program. Past that, I'd also encourage you to think about which PI/research group you felt like you would fit into best, and would be the best working environment for you.
