child of 2 Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 chemical engineering to be more specific. how difficult/unlikely would it be to have tuition/living fully covered by TAing, fellowships, scholarships and FA without having to work part time or graduate with debt? I figure someone is going to tell me this will depend on the school, but some examples would be more helpful. thanks
ktel Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 If you get your Master's in Canada, pretty likely. I have full funding for my Master's at U of T.
Pauli Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Low. You would have to convince a prof that you would be a good fit in their lab during your time there, or secure an on-campus job specific to grad students to have your tuition waived.
ystar2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 It does depend on the school and programs. You need to convience the prof to let you be the TA in the course. The competition is really high if it's a big program and you need to be very outstanding in order to impress the prof. But it is doable if you are persistent and let your prof know you personally!
