Anyone familiar with Greensboro, NC?

I recently got accepted into UNC Greensboro.

My wife is a nurse and will be applying to Greensboro/Winston-Salem area

We are looking for any suggestions on good living locations.

From what I read online, Greensboro is beautiful but there are certainly areas with higher crime rates

any suggestions on safer neighborhoods to live in. We dont mind commuting and with the possibility of her being in a hospital near winston-salem, locations more west are probably prefered (although we dont know where she wil be yet so all suggestions are appreciated)

From what I have read, Northwest of Greensboro is fairly nice, though might be pricy

we are looking to rent while I am still in school

Any info is greatly appreciated

If you are looking for a place between Greensboro and Winston-Salem, look in Kernersville. It's a nice small town and the perfect mid point
