Am240793 Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Hello everybody, I was offered admission to a Masters program in an Arts discipline, at the University of Toronto. Problem is, I'm an international student, and am graduating from a 3 years bachelor from the University of Montreal. As I didn't go through the Quebecer's CEGEP, but passed the french baccalauréat instead, and went through a 3 years bachelor program, the faculty told me my application would be submitted as a "non standard admission" to the University. Now, I am a bit scared the University will refuse me, even though the department offered me admission... So my question is, does anybody have an idea on what will follow on? Are the chances of getting refused pretty high or low considering my credentials? Please help me!
cyberwulf Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 This isn't the first time that UofT has had to process an application from someone in Quebec; I'm sure they have a system. That said, it wouldn't hurt to follow up to make sure that everything is proceeding as anticipated.
Nerd_For_Life Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Talk to your poi and voice your concerns to them. Also, if you've been offered admission whoever the graduate adviser is for that department should also be able to look into things on their end.
