]Hello Friends

I had appeared for GRE in the year in Aug 2010 and again in June 2011.

The scores are as below

aug 2010

(old) (revised)

verbal 590 159

quant 780 163

june 2011

(old) (revised)

verbal 570 158

quant 740 158

Unfortunately could attend univ the same year because of a family emergency.

Is it a good idea to reappear for the gre ?

your august 2010 score is the average/above average scores of engineering students that were ACCEPTED to top schools like MIT, stanford, etc. so i have no clue why you would feel you need to retake them....your first score was excellent...stop wasting money on the GRE lol

Hi Neeraj,

The second time you took the GREs, you did worse than the first time. This is not a good thing. Admissions committees want to see an improvement in your performance. I recommend you re-take the test.

Also, the profile you've listed is hard to interpret. If you could give more information, others may be able to help you evaluate your potential.

Good luck!
