NaqmeK Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Hi guys, I am an International student and have been admitted to Texas A&M and UC Irvine both with no funding. I can support my self for the first semester/quarter. I would ask you since Texas is a much cheaper state and also I like living in CA more, is it possible to defer UC Irvine and hope to find a professor while attending TX A&M? thank you
dntw8up Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 When you accept an offer from one school you agree to decline offers from all others, so no, what you propose won't work. Also, if you require a student visa you might want to check with the school you choose to attend, because proof that you can support yourself for the entire duration of the program is often required. dntw8up 1
rose1 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 When I accepted a school, I had to sign a form stating that I had not accepted or deferred any other schools for the duration of the program
