shahkhushbu6 Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Hello Friends I am new to this forum. But I have a small doubt. I am doing my MS in Medicinal Chemistry at NEU (Northeastern). I wish to do PhD in fall 2013. My GPA is 3.92 and GRE is 1420/1600, 3.0. I am also doing a thesis but not started yet. I have no publications in my BS or MS. What sort of steps should I now take? How to enlist univ? Is GRE chem worth for PhD program application? It would be great if someone could help me. Thanks
Eigen Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 The Chem GRE isn't that big of a deal (there's another thread on that already), but the lack of any publications from your MS is a bit more worrisome. It's more understandable depending on what area of medicincal chem you're in- NP synth or total synth always have lower publication records than other areas.
shahkhushbu6 Posted June 5, 2012 Author Posted June 5, 2012 Thanks Eigen So based on probability, publication is a core requirement? Does it mean rejection in high ranking univs?
