finance89 Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Anyone here starting (or currently enrolled) at The University of Cambridge in 2012?
n2011 Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Hi I'm going to starting an MPhil in Education in October! What subject are you in for? I'm at Fitzwilliam college, what about you?
BrainLady2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I was accepted at the University of Cambridge for a PhD in Psychiatry with Darwin College membership for October 2013. I am very nervous about funding because I missed the deadline for Gates and Fulbright scholarships, but am counting on the possibility of financial support from Cambridge Trusts which will be announced in less than two weeks. Without funding I will have to defer my offer, which is really nerve-wracking! Anyone else out there?

Congrats on getting in and getting funding! I was accepted for an MPhil, although I'm not sure if I'll attend. Still waiting to be placed in a college, my first and second choices were Wolfson College and St. Edmunds College.
theycombinator Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Me as well, starting a PhD at Wellcome Trust CIMR, Cambridge.
mlisci Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Hi theycombinator! I am starting a PhD at CIMR as well this coming fall. Is there anything you think I should know beforehand? And for everyone else: what's your take on choosing a college?

Have you not already committed to a college? If not, I think there are some good online resources that give the important facts about each college (cost of a pint at the college bar, size of sport pitches, etc.). In all seriousness, though, this exists, and it includes other information like pro's and con's of each college. I would offer my personal input, but I don't know anything other than what I've read, since I won't start until next fall.
