About the MPS in applied statistics in Cornell

Recommended Posts

I'm a college student and about to be a senior in September. My undergraduate major is statistics and I've decided to pursue a Master degree in biostatistics or statistics. When collecting information about the Master of Professional Study(MPS) in applied statistics, I found that it's a one-year program with no dissertification required but a year-long in-depth data analysis project. I'm wondering whether the project is assigned by the department or I have to find a client by yourself? Besides, since it's only a one-year program, does it mean enrolled students have no time to do an internship before hunting for a job? Do anyone know any about the data analysis project or the program?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.Thx!
