chagrined Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I have applied to 9 Masters Programs in Electrical Engineering, and thus far I have only heard from 2. Do any of you know whether the PhD spots are filled first and then the remaining spots go to MS candidates? Also, if we haven't been accepted or rejected yet, does that mean that we are considered 2nd tier candidates and still in contention? I would appreciate your insights. The wait is killing me! Applied to: MIT - rejected Cal Tech - waiting Georgia Tech - waiting Stanford - waiting Penn State - waiting Washington - accepted Florida - waiting Texas - waiting Michigan - waiting
noojens Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I'm not sure, but if more people would post their profile stats in the stickied thread (including notification dates and PhD vs. MS status), we could find out. Best of luck.
was1984 Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I'm still waiting across the board for my M.S. apps. I know for a fact one of the schools I'm applying too definitely does Ph.D. applications first, because I was told as much in an email. The only thing I'm worried about is that there won't be enough funding this year for M.S. students.
