tadams25 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I am currently in the process of getting my applications together for graduate school, and I've been deciding what to include and exclude on my resume. How important is it to have a "relevant courses" section?
michigan girl Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I think the 'relevant coursework' section is optional. I never included one when I applied to my master's programs.
sareth Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 How important is it to have a "relevant courses" section? This may be field-dependent, so ymmv, but I didn't include a section like that on my resume for grad applications. My reasoning was that they'd also have copies of transcripts showing all of my coursework.
harrisce4 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I'm applying to MBA programs NEXT year, but I have questions about my resume. 1) It's currently 2 pages long- and I only have 1 year of post-graduate work experience. Is this acceptable? 2) The reason it's 2 pages long is because I had several internships that last the usual 3-5 months, whether fall or summer. Should I include these? I know you are suppose to tailor your resume to the job you want, in this case MBA program, but all of my internships are relevant. They are all advertising, marketing, brand management related Would love some advice! I have a year to perfect everything, so I'm trying to work out the kinks now- GMAT, narrowing down list of schools, narrowing down list of recommenders, starting SoP, and essays. So much to do!!
