OHIO and OREGON. do i stand a chance?

I am thinking of applying to univeristy of ohio and oregon for sociology. I am in Pakistan. my gpa is

3.32....havent taken gre...but my recommendations/ writing sample is good. interned at neslte and also at an ngo. Do u think i stand a chance of getting? also had a B sociology in alevels...and took sociology/ stats/ research courses during my Bsc. in economics.

i hear tht because many women from pakistan do not apply for masters to USA so they

have a chance of getting in. plus i can play tht card. any idea ?

I went to the University of Oregon for undergrad and I would say you have a pretty good chance of getting in there. There didn't seem to be very many international graduate students so that will definitely be advantageous to your application. What are you research interests? Economic sociology?
