Epi-OG Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Hi - Does anyone have an update as to when McMaster will notify applicants about a decision to the Health Research Methodology Program? Hi PubHealth, I am also waiting to hear back from McMaster HRM program. I spoke with someone who was accepted last year, and they said that they heard sometime in May.. So maybe another month although I am not sure.

Yes, I also applied to Waterloo's MPH Program to which a decision is still pending. Hoping to hear a response from a school soon to put my mind at ease. Best of luck to you also!!
derp Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Still no word from McGill MPH. I can't stand the wait any longer. ARGHHH!!!!!! McGill's MPH is really an MSc. (that's what it will say on your degree). Many students were not aware of this when they began a few years ago. MSc isn't considered the same as an MPH even if it IS an MSc. in public health. Good luck

"Hi Carolyn, Unfortunately our review committee is not in the position to offer you an admission offer at this time, however I can tell you that you have been placed on our waiting list. Further details will be sent out to you early next week. My very best to you, and I'm sorry I don't have better news." Thought some of you might be interested.. If any of you haven't heard back, might be because you are waitlisted. I don't know whether to be happy or not lol. I guess this is definitely better than a rejection - And the only person I know personally who got into U of T Health Promotion last year, was originally wait listed... So I guess that's a good sign!

I am aware that the program is actually an MSc. I'm particularly interested in research and feel that McGill's program would be a better fit for me than the standard MPH degree. Cima Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 (edited) A good friend of mine got accepted to SFU by 3:20pm today. His stream was Env and Occ Health, eventhough it wasn't indicated. I think SFU has sent out the first round of offers for all streams. Those of us still waiting to hear back might be waitlisted. I am not sure, just assuming. I could be wrong.
