valkener Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Hey, So I just read on the ETS website about the any select option for test result submission. I'd just like to confirm that I can send any test to the school I apply to without them seeing how many GRE's I took before and how I did? This seems a little strange to me, I could be taking 1 test per month the next half year and then just send in my best score? Surely this can't be true? Thanks everyone!
Instigate Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 It is true. ETS only cares about money. The more times you take the gre the more money they get.
iowaguy Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 In general, the whole GRE thing is a $$$ racket, IMHO... But some schools do take GRE scores very seriously, if nothing else, just to see how we all play the game and how bad we really want to get into a top school...
Instigate Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Yeah, it shows determination nothing more. And for schools with a lot of applicants it gives the option of quickly rejecting a lot of students based on some GRE cut offs
