Griffen03 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 I'm at a new school for my PhD (started this past summer) and I'm not settling in. I know I need to give it some time, but I'm not excited about taking classes like I was for my master's, I really just want to do my research and graduate. For some reason I just don't have patience to read about topics that aren't related to my research. It doesn't help that I'm the only person in my lab and I don't talk to anyone all day. Has anyone else felt like this after transferring and if so, how did you rekindle your enthusiasm?
Gary in CA Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 3 months later - This lab is empty too. That's irony. • a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result swap out amusing for sad or tragic Hang in there. perfectionist 1
