MFA Programs -- Anyone know about Va. Tech

Hi,

I have an interview with Va Tech's MFA fiction tomorrow and was wondering if anyone knows anything about their MFA program other than the fact that Nikki Giovanni is there?

I finished my undergrad at Tech recently, and I took a few of the MFA writing workshops. What questions do you have?

How did your interview go and who interviewed you? Have you heard anything back from Tech regarding admissions?

My bf graduated from VT with his undergrad degree in english a few years ago. If you have more questions, i'll be glad to see if he has any input.

Couple quick things from him though - He says he's heard that it's supposed to be a pretty good program. He also said that Giovanni isn't a very good teacher. He got the most out of Bob Hicok, who primarily taught poetry was getting into fiction when he left.

I know he-said, she-said's aren't necessarily reliable, i just thought i'd comment since it doesn't look like many other have.
