Hi all...I'm a Fulbrighter from Indonesia. It's nice to find you all here.

I just got my first LoA today as well as a Shortfall notice for around $15,000. That's pretty bad and I think I'll wait for further development before accepting the admission offer. There's another 3 universities including the one I want the most.

It's said that LoA will arrive in your inbox around February-April. So no need to worry to those who haven't got one.

Cheers. :)

Also a grantee from the last cycle - feel free to PM me with any questions! It might differ from country to country, but I found it a very nerve-wracking process. I was also interviewed and accepted much later than US applicants since I could not attend the in-person interviews, so my acceptances came in very late.

If you're stressing about your visa situation because you don't have a school yet, don't worry too much, since they managed to interview me TWO DAYS before I left and the visa somehow crossed the country fast enough that I got it the day before I was due to leave.

And agreed on not sweating it too much, although it is a tough climate and I think placements are becoming less easily available, especially because higher tier schools seem to be less likely to cost share. The main problem is if you're holding out for a really great school; if you're more flexible it's much more likely you'll end up happy!

Hi, I am in the same situation. I have been rejected from 3 programs and i am waiting for 2 more. However, I am worried because we are now in april. I hope if I am rejected from the 5 programs, have the chance to re-apply.
