adityawira Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Hi all...I'm a Fulbrighter from Indonesia. It's nice to find you all here. I just got my first LoA today as well as a Shortfall notice for around $15,000. That's pretty bad and I think I'll wait for further development before accepting the admission offer. There's another 3 universities including the one I want the most. It's said that LoA will arrive in your inbox around February-April. So no need to worry to those who haven't got one. Cheers.
safferabroad Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Also a grantee from the last cycle - feel free to PM me with any questions! It might differ from country to country, but I found it a very nerve-wracking process. I was also interviewed and accepted much later than US applicants since I could not attend the in-person interviews, so my acceptances came in very late. If you're stressing about your visa situation because you don't have a school yet, don't worry too much, since they managed to interview me TWO DAYS before I left and the visa somehow crossed the country fast enough that I got it the day before I was due to leave.
safferabroad Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 And agreed on not sweating it too much, although it is a tough climate and I think placements are becoming less easily available, especially because higher tier schools seem to be less likely to cost share. The main problem is if you're holding out for a really great school; if you're more flexible it's much more likely you'll end up happy!

adityawira Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Hi Mpumie, I got both from IIE and my Program Officer. But must of my communication is still through my program officer in Indonesia.
Jorge555 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Hi, I am in the same situation. I have been rejected from 3 programs and i am waiting for 2 more. However, I am worried because we are now in april. I hope if I am rejected from the 5 programs, have the chance to re-apply.
