Undergraduate:Top 10 Liberal Arts College in U.S; Double majoring in Economics and Math.; Spent junior year at LSE GPA: 3.9/4.0 Math Courses: Topics in Single Variable Calculus (A), Linear Algebra (A), Multivariate Calculus (A), Discrete Mathematics (A), AT LSE: Real Analysis (A), Differential Equations (A-), CURRENTLY IN: Topology, Probability Models, WILL TAKE: Mathematical Statistics, Modern Algebra Econ Courses: Introduction to Macroeconomics (A), Introduction to Microeconomics (A), Macroeconomic Theory (A-), Probability and Statistics (A-), Microeconomics Theory (A), International Finance (A), Econometrics (B+), AT LSE: Principles of Econometrics (A), Principles of Microeconomics (B+), Principles of Finance (A), CURRENTLY IN: Industrial Organization, WILL TAKE: Advanced Macroeconomics Grad Courses: None GRE: 170Q/165V/??AWA (just took it) Research Experience: Term papers in International Finance and Industrial Organization; Senior thesis (in progress): "Measuring Hedge Fund Portfolio Weightings by State-Space Models with Kalman Filtering" Teaching: TA for intro macro and intermediate micro Publications: None... Research Interests: Theoretical (proofs 'n' stuff) econometrics, macro-finance Letters of Rec: Should all be good Concerns: No Grad courses, limited research in that my thesis is not going to be done by application time (clearly) I'm interested in pretty much the top 12, and I'm applying to master's as backups... I'm thinking if I don't get into top 12, I'd rather do the masters and try again... Thoughts??? I really appreciate it!!!! I've been reading these posts a lot, but this is my first post...
