Joavi Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 So the semester is coming to an end and the last classes are coming up soon. I thought it might be good to wrap up with a fun activity, but I also don't want to treat my students like they are kids or something... Does anyone do things like this? Any ideas?
pghbioteacher Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Ummmm... Fun activity? Do you actually not have enough content to fill the last class meeting? toasterazzi, Joavi and theregalrenegade 3
Joavi Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 Of course there is enough content! But why not wrap up the last 5-10 minutes with a little something fun, lighten up some... Anyway, I bought in some snacks for the class to enjoy as we went over the last of the course material...a potluck would have been cool, maybe next time.
midwestnorthside Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 For my last class I brought coffee, soda, and snacks. I didn't ask them to do a potluck but many brought cookies and snacks themselves. I had excellent students and told them that. I reserved a few minutes at the end to answer any general questions that they had about school and their field of study. Maybe not 'fun' but I think it was a great wrap-up. UrbanWonk 1
