vikas24 Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Hi, I received my email at I've been accepted at Columbia .. but I don't understand the scene for funding, the email says If you have been selected to receive departmental financial support, you will be notified directly. Please assume that you have been unsuccessful in your application for funding if you have not been notified. All applicants are automatically considered for funding when their applications are submitted. So, does it mean I should have already been informed if were to receive any funding, or does it mean I should wait. Anyways, the website clearly says that TAs are not for new admits, there are only very limited GRAs available. I wrote to the director of the Machine Learning lab there to enquire about chances of funding. Has anyone else admitted to Columbia ( MS ) received information about funding ?! Thanks
tedjj Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 It means exactly what it says - you will get funding only if you will be contacted.
