hjydream Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Hello, fellows!! I am a Chinese applicant who wants to pursue PhD study in the US. I am a senior undergraduate whose major is management science and computer science at a top 3 Chinese university. Also I ranked 1st in my major, and published two papers with intensive research experience.... Though I have prepared for application for 4 years and spend RMB 30000+ yuan, however, it still seems extremely difficult and frustrating for a Chinese student to be enrolled at top US universities even I did everything well. Up to now, I have been rejected by LSE, UCSB, harvard, boston college, caltech, princeton, berkeley, USC, NYU, northwestern, UCLA, MIT, maryland, gatech... BUT NOT ONE AD/OFFER. It is really a psyche distortion!! And I am rejected to numbness. Today, maybe the GOD bless I am posted on the waitlist of UPenn econ phd. This is my only chance and I want your advice badly!! I also beg those who are admitted but will not go to do some favor. Actually, I have plenty of money to cover all the tuitions and living expenses of Phd study, and I also won CSC funding by Chinese government. And would that be of help? Thx a million!!
