thecambam Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 So I'm applying to grad school in Colorado for Fall 2013 at CSU and am worried that I may have lost my in-state tuition eligibility! I currently am living in Michigan (since August 2012, likely through this upcoming July 2013), the only time I've lived outside of Colorado my entire life expect my 1 semester study abroad. I am registered to vote in CO, have a CO driver's license, my permanent address in there, and I graduated from University of Colorado as well. I do not have a signed lease here in MI either. However, I will pay MI income tax for part of 2012 and part of 2013. That is the one outstanding point I can see where they may be able to deny in state tuition. Has anyone had a similar experience or any insight? The Colorado laws are not entirely clear and basically it is up to judgement on an individual basis. Any help is super appreciated, thanks!
EdYouKateOr Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I believe you still can claim domicile in CO. Where did you vote?
EdYouKateOr Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Thanks for the reassurance! You are welcome. I had the same issues! Been there, done that!
