Actuaman Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Dear all, I would like you to help me evaluate my profile and help me decide the schools I should apply to (Econ PhD):Type of Undergrad: BA Statistics (GPA = 3) + BS Actuarial Sciences (GPA = 3.75) – Public Spanish University Diploma of Research Proficiency (in Actuarial Sciences) (2 years of study) GPA: top 5% / Thesis on Financial Institutions Type of Grad: MBA – Duke University (GPA = 3.5) GRE: V=161 Q=169 AWA = 5.5Undergrad Math: Plenty of it (grades differ, trend is growing vividly across the time)Grad Math: Not so much in the MBA. A+ and B+Undergrad Econ: Some of it (B+); Econometrics : HONORSGrad Econ: Micro / Macro = A+ ; Econometrics = A+ Game Theory = BLetter of recommendation: 1) Grad professor – did his Econ PhD in Chicago; 2) Diploma of Research Proficiency supervisor – Spanish University INTERESTED in US Universities – I’d very much appreciate your viewpoint on my chances to: TOP 10 / TOP 20 Thanks in advance to all of you
