ellkennedy Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 I applied to SFU psych in November and have gotten a couple of emails telling me to be sure that my app is complete to maximize my chances of an early offer this past week and on their website it says that daily rolling notifications begin in mid January. My application has been completed since the beginning of December and I know that it's still early but I'm dying to know when I'll hear back from them.. has anybody gotten a response or know if early conditional offers have even started yet? Thanks
bedmas Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Hey! I'm applying to SFU as well. My program's deadline isn't until Feb 1, so I expect I won't hear anything from them for a while, but it's cool to see another person applying there. quick question, maybe you know the answer: did you include your application/applicant number on any of your supporting documents (CV, SOP, etc?). I swear I saw somewhere to include a number, but now I don't know which number, and I can't find where I saw that. best of luck!!
ellkennedy Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 I'm not sure what CV and SOP are I'm from California so I filled out the international application but I did have to send over transcripts and test scores and I didn't include my student number on any of them. If you can't find where it said that you probably don't need to but to be safe I would call and ask. Glad that you responded good luck to you too! Keep me posted if you hear anything back!
obrera Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Basically, you can hear about a decision anytime from now until April. They admit a few people at a time and reevaluate. Usually, you will hear in late February or early March, though. That was my experience from SFU. Great school, by the way. And the campus is on top of a mountain.
ellkennedy Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 Okay good to know I try not to get my hopes up too high for a response soon but it really can be torture haha. I'm intrigued that the main campus is on a mountain hope i get in so I can experience that!
