Berkeley - question

Hi,

 

The following text was taken from the IEOR web page (Berkeley):

"Both the Statement of Purpose and the Personal History Statement should be no longer than three pages typed, double-spaced, 12-point font."

 

Can I write 3 pages as a Statement of Purpose and another 3 pages as a Personal History Statement or can I just write 3 pages total?

I think they mean that each one can only be 3 pages.

I have applied to M.Eng in IEOR to University of California Berkeley. I heard back with a request for a 20 minutes interview. Has anyone encountered a similar email ?

 

I wanted to get an idea on what to expect and what I should be prepared for ?
