OhioStateStudent Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Hey guys, I was admitted to OSU but I haven't heard anything about TAships or any other sort of funding. Do you know how common it is for programs to admit students and not fund them? I would think at OSU it would not be so common, but I'm not sure. Thanks
are_we_there_yet? Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 In my limited experience, it seems that some programs have two separate processes, first comes admissions, followed by funding decisions.
atm2unc2idk Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 If you are worried, you should ask the department about their funding process. Since you are already a student at Ohio State ( I assume this is the program for which the question is based), just send a brief email to one of your profs/ one of the people you had write your letters of rec and ask. I assume that most professors in the stats department will know the process. You can also send an email to the DGS.
