hwrios Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Of course it does. But my paintings are mostly small. I don't know if schools even look at that at all, but I'm wondering.... I'm also wondering how much grades matter. I mean, what is a good GPA for an artist? I can't help but think that the Profs just choose people based on "liking" their portfolio and nothing else matters. I don't know. gefsNonsatofe 1
Faraday Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 (edited) I admit my knowledge of the fine arts is limited, but I just want to say you were quite clever with the topic title and for that I applaud you. Edited January 29, 2013 by Faraday

uromastyx Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Your portfolio is crucial. But your numbers will reflect your work ethic and professionalism.
Reborn Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 (edited) uniformally every school I visited said the same thing: portfolio is the most important part of your app...UT - Austin even has a separate statement requirement for discussing your submitted work. If the scale of your work has particular meaning, then you should be prepared to discuss that in your written statement and/or interviews. Edited January 29, 2013 by Reborn
