kiki123 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Hello. I will be attending my first group interview soon and was curious if anyone had insight on to what group interviews are like. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
bertiek Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I'm curious about this too. I'm going to a recruitment weekend and have several back to back interviews with profs, and two of these are group interviews. I'm not sure what to expect.
PsychGirl1 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I've had an interview where there were 2 students for 1 prof. We mostly just took turns talking about our research and then the prof asked some questions to each of us, and then he talked about his own research. That took the full 30 minutes. Overall, it was a little awkward but not too painful, and certainly less stressful than 1-on-1 interviews.
kiki123 Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 Thanks, PsychGirl1! Best of luck to you.
