University of British Columbia vs Uni. of Alberta; MASc vs MEng?

To my knowledge for UBC and uoAlberta MEng is a coursework and MASc is a research degree. What's better to go for regarding job opportunities worldwide and salary?

MASc at UBC and MEng, MASc at uoAlberta cost relatively same for international applicants. If MEng is a better option so what would be a good choice, MASc at UBC or MEng at uoAlberta?

Also what are the aspects of MSc at École Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne(EPFL), Switzerland as compared to UBC and uoAlberta. I don't have much idea of EPFL just got it's idea because of much lower tution fees.
