Graduate College Official Letter

Hello All,

 

I was accepted into a education PhD at the end of January and I was wondering how long it takes to receive the official letter from the graduate college? Or will it be in email form? In the online application?

I think it varies everywhere.  One of my programs said to expect it within the next 4 weeks.  Another place I got in the next week.

Did you get it through mail? Or was this online? Is it more standard to get it through the mail? I guess I am just clueless on what to expect.

I got mine through email.  I haven't gotten one through post mail yet.

It can be held up depending on whether or not you applied with official transcripts. If you applied with unofficial transcripts, then you have to send (and they have to process) official transcripts before they ever get around to sending you your official letter.

I applied with my official transcipts. It was the first thing I did because I am neurotic so I not sure if that is the reason for the hold up. I guess they would still have to process these things. But its crazy they have all this time and it takes so long for that one thing. I thought waiting to hear a decision was bad; waiting for the letter for me is worse.
