So maybe there has already been a thread about this but hey technology changes. Anyone want to share their favorite apps that have helped in your research?

Zotero is great for managing citations.

 

I use Google Scholar as my main search tool, being able to access my University's library catalogue directly is a godsend!

 

I have an Android tablet that's good for reading PDF articles on the go, generally use EZpdf as my reader because it lets me do text reflow.

 

I use Dropbox and Ubuntu One to sync my files - I don't want to have to rely on just one service for something that important!

 

Note taking is primarily in meatspace at the moment though, so I'd love to know if anyone has tried alternatives to Evernote?
