mightymouse88 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 So I applied to a few masters programs as back ups, and I just got an email inviting me to an open house March 8th at a school in Georgia. I live in Ohio, so obviously going there is going to be expensive. I'm wondering if this is the interview or if they're going to have me go back again f
kabelo Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I'm attending an Open House at NYU, in the context of which interviews will be held. I guess it's just their way of emphasizing that it's not just about them evaluating your fit to the department but also about you evaluating their fit to your interests. Judging from the info I have, their Open House is pretty much like the selection/visiting days at other schools. I'm pretty sure that the same is true for the school in Georgia. But why not give them a call?
mewtoo Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 The school I had an interview at used the terms interchangeably. If its a clinical phd, I'm 99% sure its an interview.
mightymouse88 Posted February 13, 2013 Author Posted February 13, 2013 I'm assuming it is, I can't imagine a masters program would expect people to fly down twice.
