American Studies PhD '13 applicants

Hey - I've applied for the second time (!) to PhD programs in American Studies, exclusively on the East Coast.  Just wondering who else was out there --- and if any of you are as anxious as me!

 

Also trying to get a better understanding of the applicant/candidate pool for Am Studies PhDs...

I applied to brown and UMD but I have heard nothing so far. I emailed UMD's director of graduate studies but got no reply

I'm taking it as a bad sign so I'm gonna get on with my plan b
