Will my ethnicity (Mexican) be taken into consideration for admittance? I know that "URMs" are given preferential treatment to law/medical schools, but not sure if other graduate programs care.

Probably not, but this is always something that you can address in your personal statement, particularly if you recognize it as a factor on your journey to grad school.

check their website very carefully.  A lot of schools will specifically say they are an affirmative action school.

I think many do, right? But from what I understand, graduate programs don't give "preferential treatment." No? Now I'm curious...
