helmsdeep Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 (edited) Hi everyone, Have any of you who have submitted multiple manuscripts in the same subject area list the same suggested referees in your cover letters to journals? Is this practice frowned upon or is it okay? I am thinking of recycling my list of suggested reviewers for my next couple of papers, which are in a very specific area and related to my previous research, but I'm unsure if doing so would annoy them. Thanks for your help! Edited February 19, 2013 by helmsdeep
lewin Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Annoy "them": the editors or the reviewers? The editors might not even be picking the people you suggest so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Also, the reviewers won't know that you suggested them, right?

You're right, I'm over thinking this and reviewers shouldn't know that I suggested them, even if the editor does use the list. Thanks for your help!
