indigoconcord Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) Hey all, any advice on how to dress for MFA interviews, espically in the Graphic Design/Design fields. the best advice ive gotten on this topic is "the nicest outfit youre comfortable wearing." im not comfortable in nice/expensive things. so i thought id probably end up looking underdressed, but it really didnt matter (and almost all 30 other interviewees were similarly "underdressed") Edited February 22, 2013 by indigoconcord ImaGirl 1
ArsenicYellow Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I'd advice not to wear anything you'd wear to a job interview. You don't want anything too business like (no suits). I wore a nice casual dress wih a cardigan, scarf, and tights to my interviews. Remember, you are interviewing for an mfa, not a MBA. Wear something nice, stylish and try to remember, how you look will be the first impression they get from you. indigoconcord 1
Onedayx3 Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 I hate the issue all together, and would like to think that one could wear whatever they want as long as they had the right attitude... but the consensus is pretty correct so far here. The interview scene from Pursuit of Happiness: houndstooth 1
