ninna1125 Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Hi to all! I am noticing many of you have emailed your DGS to verify or check your status. I am antsy (aren't we all??) and would like to do the same, but am unsure about the proper etiquette for writing such a letter? How do you phrase your inquiries? Very best to you all!
Spritely Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 I e-mail (or, better, call) the administrative person rather than the DGS and say something like: Sorry to bother you with what I assume is one of many requests, but is there a timeline for notification of PhD applications? And how will those be sent out (e-mail/phone/postal)?
Minnesotan Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Yup. Call or email the admin secretary and ask for whatever info she can give you. As long as you are polite and patient, there should be no problem.
