neveragain2 Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Hello all! So i recently bought a nexus 7.... I'm in the first year of my PhD and decided that this was as good a time as any to buy a tablet. I would really appreciate any suggestions on how to get the most out of it! How are others using this device? Any recommended apps? Thanks for all your opinions and advice!! Sean
n_psych Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Hi. I got one for my birthday last November. I typically use evernote to take notes. Also, the adobe reader app is very good if your profs send you pdfs for reading or power points with class notes because it lets you highlight, strike, underline, write text, write with your hand, etc. Dropbox is also a must for me. neveragain2 1
neveragain2 Posted February 23, 2013 Author Posted February 23, 2013 Great I'll check out those!! Thank you! U find any good app for working with word documents/PowerPoint??
asdfx3 Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 I'd consider an app called "hover note." It makes a pop up text box that goes over any app that's running (Web browser, pdf viewer, video, etc). You can save the text as a txt file either on your device or send it to cloud storage like Dropbox. It's really nice to take notes on whatever I'm reading. neveragain2 1
