venusandback Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Hi everyone, I received an email yesterday from the Graduate Program Coordinator on behalf of the Director of Graduate Studies accepting me into their graduate program. I have been instructed to respond by April 1st through email in order to accept or decline the offer. At this point, I am torn between two schools. Should I acknowledge that I have received the offer of admission and will let them know my decision as soon as possible? Alternatively, do you think it would be better to hold off on responding until I know where I would like to go? Thanks!
Sconnie Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 As I have received email acceptances I have been responding with a thank you for the congratulations as well as asking to be put in contact with some current graduate students to get their perspective as you make this very important decision. They are generally quick to do so and I have found the information helpful.
nackteziege Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Yeah, I think it's good to respond. I didn't to one program and eventually got a message from them confirming I received the acceptance E-mail...and then felt awkward.
