Guest hopefulfool Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 I've been wait-listed at my first choice, but from the e-mail it seems that they do not want to be contacted. It only says to contact them if you want to come off the wait-list, but then it says to let them know of other opportunities that you are offered. I know with another school they wanted me to email them to discuss my research interests more, my interest in the program, etc. I am not sure if I should do the same with this one and if it is a good idea to tell them about my other opportunities. Telling them about an additional wait-list doesn't seem like a good idea.
ramswell Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 i would not contact them if I were you. Don't say anything about other offers. I have a feeling that might push you down the list. Man I think schools are getting meaner as time goes by
Guest hopefulfool Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Thanks a lot for your input and I agree with your opinion. Admissions are not what they used to be back in the 80s and 90s. It was easy back then.
