Guest daphna Posted April 6, 2006 Share Posted April 6, 2006 I'm wondering the same thing myself - how exactly do they expect you to deal with this situation? I live outside the States, and we have a little holiday season coming upon us. I just couldn't afford to wait with sending the letter to Brown (the school I decided to go to) letting them know I was going to attend. I was worried it wouldn't get there in time. And since I was pretty sure that even if I got off the waitlist, I would still want to go to Brown, I just went ahead and notified them. I didn't notify NW yet (I only made my decision yesterday). I probably should, although I have to admit I kind of want to know if I'll get off the waitlist or not (an ego thing, i guess... NW is my top choice so i am really waiting anxiously. i have bothered the grad assistant too many times, but at least they know i am still very, very interested and likely to accept off the wait list. Guest daphna Posted April 8, 2006 Share Posted April 8, 2006 I'm not sure how the funding is for everyone, but I got full funding + health + 18,000$ stipend (guaranteed for 5 years) +2500$ for 3 out of 5 summers.
