Recommended Posts

I just got this info from one of my undergrad professors, would encourage anyone interested in such to apply!
Title: National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Summer Program at NYIT
We would like to call your attention to a paid summer research opportunity for undergraduates at New York Institute of Technology (Manhattan campus) funded by the National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program.  We are recruiting 10 undergraduates to conduct research with NYIT faculty in the research area of security of mobile devices and wireless networks for 10 weeks during summer. Participants will receive $5000 as stipend plus lodging, food allowance and travel expense coverage. Please share the following announcement with undergraduates at your institution, and encourage female students to participate. Applications are due by March 31st, 2013.

Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)

Motivated and talented students are invited to apply for paid summer research internships to gain hands-on research experience in stimulating the spread of malware on smartphones, implementing cryptographic algorithms and authentication schemes for smartphones, studying topology control of wireless networks, geolocating smartphones, detecting physical attack on a network of smartphones, and developing privacy-protected medical sensing methods using smartphones. This opportunity is open to only ten students and since  the selection process is very competitive students are advised to obtain letters of recommendation from their professors.
