UBC Science and Technology Studies PhD

Has anyone applied to do the Science and Technology Studies Specialization at UBC (either through English, History or Philosophy) and heard anything?

I know you have to apply to the specific department, but I'm wondering if the STS program has any say, or if it's all the individual department's decision?  

 I saw that there were two acceptances on the results board for English PhD at UBC, but I'm wondering if that includes STS specializations?  I haven't heard anything, and I'm getting nervous....
