Mamahope Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Hi! I tried to search for this but came up with nothing, so if this is a duplicate post, I humbly apologize. I recently applied to University of Ottawa to do a PhD. They generally offer admissions funding automatically if your GPA (last 30 credits) is 8.0/10.0. I come from a Quebec university, using a 4.3 scale. I'm having a terribly time trying to figure out how to calculate the conversion. Best I can tell, there doesn't seem to be a standard formula. In any case, I have an overall GPA for the last 30 credits of 3.69 (though my GPA for the last year was 3.95, I had a semester where one of my children was quite sick and my grades dropped). Could anyone venture a guess of how far off I may be of the 8.0?
selecttext Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 my guess is that you are an 8.3 but i might be wrong
Langdon Alger Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Hey you can find the U of Ottawa conversion scale here in section 10.1: http://www.uottawa.ca/about/policies-and-regulations/academic-regulations
