The Rook
If anyone can help, I would definitely appreciate it. I checked my application status for a Ph.D. app to Lund University and in the "status" tab is the following: Ärendet hos sakkunnig. My google translator interprets this as: "the case of expert." Can anyone assist with interpreting what this means? Thanks!
Cybercollector
I'm just guessing, but it may mean your case is under review by the faculty ("the experts"). Also, checking online, "hos" can mean "with", which would change the meaning to "Case with expert(s)". Anyway, good luck .
nugget3
I'm an American who speaks Swedish pretty well, but that still stumps me a bit! Here's a good Swedish-English dictionary. "Hos" means being at someone's place - so the case/matter/issue is at the expert/judge's place. Looks like it's under review by whoever gets to decide. But Swedes are real friendly, so you could always just email and clarify! I was in Lund for part of a day once, and it's beautiful, wish I could have studied there! The Rook
Thanks for the help guys! Being under review by the POI (since it's an application for a single position) makes sense; looks like I'll just have to wait patiently for a decision!
